"XAVIER"
I have really started to get into shooting events lately, from art festivals to spelling bees. You name I want to shoot it. Well, Saturday the 10th I was strolling thru the Cinco De Mayo festival down town and decided to go to the NBA Nation area to see if I could catch some hoops action. I noticed in the Kia challenge skills area a name on top of the leader board I recognized. It couldn't be, well it, was won by Xavier Soller a former student here at AIC. Xavier had the fastest ever since this event has been going on. He wins a trip for two to Dallas to compete on the national level against the other winners in the contest from across the US. Way to go Xavier, hey you need a photographer to go with you to help document your win. Hit me up!!!

"Grace Styles"
I met Ms. Styles thru a fellow student at the college I go to. I soon found out that Ms. Styles was the curator of a museum, "The African American Heritage Museum." This museum is in an area called "Five Points," an area that was once where most of the blacks lived in Denver. After visiting the museum, I was amazed at all the things that she had in it, and at all the contributions blacks had made to society that I did not know. It truly is a amazing place. Everyone should visit, you're never to old to learn about black history. Wonderful lady, great museum.
Ms. Tollet
I have been here in Denver almost 3 years and have met many people from different walks of life. One such person is Ms. Tollet, a black historian, publisher and actor. She portrays Sojournor Truth, the woman who was instrumental in the underground railroad, and leading slaves to freedom. We need people like her to continue telling the story, she is a modern day hero.
